These terms govern the use of the Heure & Repères app. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app — uninstalling it is enough to stop.
Heure & Repères displays the day, the time, the next appointment and medication reminders on an always-on screen, and offers a one-tap call to a contact configured beforehand. It is a display and reminder aid, nothing more: it does not act in your place, sends nothing on your behalf, and modifies nothing in your calendar.
The app is provided free of charge, for personal, private use, under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, for as long as these terms are respected. You may not resell it, rent it out, distribute a modified version of it, or remove its authorship notices. Nothing here restricts the rights you hold under applicable law (in particular, interoperability and the study of the software).
The medication reminders are a convenience aid, not a medical device and not medical advice. They display what the caregiver entered, at the times the caregiver chose. Do not rely on the app alone to take, skip or adjust a treatment: a reminder can be missed if the tablet is off, out of battery, muted, or if the times entered are wrong. For anything concerning a treatment, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.
The call tile dials the number configured in the app, through the device's own phone app; it depends on the device, its network and its SIM card. It is not an emergency service and no substitute for one, nor for a medical alert device. In an emergency, call the emergency services (112 in the European Union).
Signing in with Google is optional and covers two independent purposes — reading your calendar (read-only) and backing up your settings. Using them also means accepting the terms of the Google services involved (Google Terms of Service, Google Play Terms). Those services are operated by Google, not by the developer of this app, and may change or become unavailable independently of it.
What the app processes, when, and why is described in the privacy policy; deletion of the remote copy of your settings is described on the account deletion page. Both are part of these terms.
The app is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Features may be added, changed or turned off remotely — in particular the optional ones (calendar, spoken announcements, settings backup), which can be disabled server-side without a new version if a problem is found.
The app is provided “as is”, without any warranty beyond the legal warranties that cannot be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer cannot be held liable for a missed appointment, a missed, duplicated or mistimed medication, a call that did not go through, a loss of local data, or any indirect damage arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the mandatory rights of consumers.
These terms may evolve along with the app; the date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting the new version.
You may stop at any time: sign out of Google, turn the settings backup off, and/or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes the data stored on the device; the remote backup, if you had turned it on, is deleted on request as described on the account deletion page.
